Whatever you celebrate or don’t celebrate I hope you’re enjoying the next 10 days. The next 10 days in the United States is one of my favorite times of year. No work, seeing family, and time to relax. It’s also a good time to get organized and plan what you’d like to do better or more of next year. I actually had to go out and plow the retirement home this Christmas morning (we got 4 inches of snow last night) and seeing how many older people had to sit in their room and spend the holidays alone. Be thankful if you have family and friends to share this weekend.
PS: Part of the holiday tradition at my house is to try and embarrass my daughter and this year I chose shovel the driveway in my underwear. Tradition continues (last year I wore a bright purple shirt to church)
How is that embarassing your daughter?
I’m sure you look better than a lot of their dads, and men their age.
I love snow, I grew up briefly in Washington state – I loved it.
I’m in mildly (boring) CA where the weather is basically the same all year-round.
Hi Shane,
This is the first time I have read your blog, saw the link on our mate Morgan Linton’s recent post.
Nice work with the snow mate!
Seeing as where I live (Perth Australia) is on average 12 hours ahead of the US, we have had Christmas already. The main difference is no snow and 40 decgrees celcius (104 F) so a very hot Christmas for us but great all the same.
I look forward to reading your blog in 2011.
Cheers
