I did push ups today for run training, I figure I’ll pace myself and work my way up to running. Every sport I’ve every played running was a punishment, so I’m still trying to wrap my head around doing the actual running as the sport.
I congratulate Shane and Aaron for their running accomplishments and abilities, but 51 miles? Seriously that’s a long way to run. I hope it was in a big loop and not one way, it would suck to have to walk back. Walking back at a brisk pace of say 4 mph, would take almost 13 hours. How many calories do you burn in a 51 mile race? It’s gotta be like 50K or something ridiculous. What about restrooms? Do you just go while you’re running and after a 
few miles you’re dry, or is there some kind of side step action that you have to master to be able to pee without stopping? Maybe you run backwards for a bit?
