This sale got alot of domainer press and was a shocker when it happened. The buyer previously had their site at AutismRocks.com and the seller was affiliated with a charity named, ‘We Rock for Autism’. You can find more background at this DNW post. The charity that is live describes itself as follows, “An initiative that works closely with global talent around the world to bring awareness and funds for research into autism.” Alexa rank near 3.3 million.
2. 免税店.com (IDN) sold for $32,888
No site resolves.
3. Douga.com sold for $28,500
This domain redirects to Ani88.com. A translation of the Japanese-language site roughly includes, “Welcome to Ani88.com, we are video platform for Japan.“
4. XFlag.com sold for $22,000
Traffic leader for the week, with its Alexa rank near 500,000. The Japanese language site doesn’t translate well, including a title of “exceptional of the adventure”, and another portion of the site, “Begins trail to listen Tsudoe under the Daihata is never seen still delight and excitement “adventure” is from here“.
5. WIY.com sold for $16,800
Domain is parked. Owned by an individual with several other LLL.com domains.
6. Catapault.com sold for $15,000
Domain is parked, and whois shows the name is in transfer at Sedo.
6. FireAccount.com sold for $15,000
This is an acquisition by the folks behind the website PayWithFire.com, and an identical site is live at each domain. “Transforming the way people and businesses pay and are paid. Fire Financial Services Limited is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Licensed as a PI under the Payment Services Directive, we are developing a new and better way to pay and be paid. We are making payments more integrated, accessible, safe and less expensive.“
8. Med.info sold for $13,440
A WordPress login page resolves.
9. EcoPrime.com sold for $11,200
The domain is an upgrade from the .de extension. A login is required, and they simply describe themselves with the phrase “sustainable investments”.
