Yesterday someone who reads the blog wrote to me and had some very nice things to say. It means a lot when someone takes up their time to write . He said something that really stuck with me. He said “my startup is my kid”. A truer statement was never said. Like a startup, you sacrifice your time, spend a lot of money, and hope that your investment will pay off later. There are a lot of people that have to make a choice between a startup and children. It is not by coincidence that I didn’t blog or have children when I first started building my business. If you are putting in the effort you need there is no time for anything else. You would be a terrible parent (and are most likely a selfish husband) if you are at work 100 hours a week trying to build your vision. That’s what it takes. If someone is blogging or going to their kids games I always assume the business is a little more mature and financially stable. Certainly not a startup. There is a reason why most people involved are young. They have the ability to live lean and hit it hard.
Once I was able to build a stable business and my kid started going to school I was able to add hours of personal time. Start my hobby business. Technology has helped make things easier as well. I can essentially work anytime, anywhere. Never wasting any time. My startup kid has gone well. She is receiving $250,000 buyout offers from major colleges, aka scholarships. And my original startup isn’t doing to shabby either, moving into the top 100 nurseries in the nation. Next up the domain investment business. I’ll eventually have time to give it what it needs. Right now its still in incubator mode. Here are today’s names. Click for current price

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
Shane- thanks for the shout out and the Mr Blockchain name 🙂 I like BlockChainHQ as a brandable but was too late to bid on it!
