There have been some recent articles out discussing Google’s efforts at quantum computing and the fact that their quantum processors are improving at a rate that is doubly-exponential to the rate achieved over the past several decades with silicon (Moore’s law). If that turns out to be true, it will be nothing short of astonishing. I realize that there are still many problems to solve, but this technology will change everything when it arrives, and we might be closer than I thought.
