One of the things that is very confusing on the Internet is the lack of disclosure from all the celebrities and “influencers” on the Internet. Legally you’re supposed to announce when you have been paid to say something positive. It’s one thing to put an ad up or put an announcement from a company on a tweet but almost every celebrity says “I love X” when they have been paid by X to say that. I would rather they say ” I wear X” because at least that is a true statement. My wife is in the RC/Hobby market and the biggest no-no is for the sales team to go to a forum or anywhere on the net and say something positive or give a positive review on their own product. It’s shilling and legally could cause a fine. But a professional runner goes on twitter and answers a tweet “what is the best trail shoe?” with an answer of the best shoe is the shoes she is sponsored by Nike to wear. Not one word or asterisk mentioning she was paid to promote. Don’t get me wrong, I am not, nor plan to be, the shill police, but there has to be some sort of rules and regulations to let readers know that a review or remark was impacted by the company that makes the product or offers the service. It’s only fair. I’m pretty sure FireFest would not have scammed everyone if all the celebrities that promoted it had a “promoted Gram” mark next to all their orange squares or whatever they were using to promote the sham festival.
I realize its the world we live in and its hypocritical to write this above a list of names that we are getting paid to list. But when I write “My favorite name” like the name below, I would never write something like that, even if paid. I have been pretty nasty to emailers when they ask me to put descriptions that I don’t feel tell the truth. Like “premium” name or “a great buy”. You can pay me to list but you can’t pay me to say. There is a difference. And that’s where I started. I don’t mind advertisements as part of tweets but it’s hard to wade through the tweets that are the words of others. I’ve officially turned into that old grumpy “this Internet thing is confusing” guy. Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD keep on keeping on

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
You should definately dump your dumb friends 😉
Happy 50th!
