Trav’s List of Domains at Auction for Saturday February 22nd, 2020

Escrow.com

I recently came across an internet service that I found really helpful / beneficial. The website is HealthLabs.com, and they allow you to pick and choose from a wide variety of health tests that you would like to have run, you pay online with a credit card and then you stop by a local lab to provide blood and/or urine for the tests. These are the same labs that run the tests that your doctor orders such Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, etc… There were 6 of them within 5 minutes of my house. So I ordered some tests that I wanted run and paid via credit card. The website recommended the lab that they thought would be least busy. I needed to fast overnight for my tests so I went to the lab the next morning. There wasn’t a single person there other than the lab tech who collected my samples. I was in and out in 5 minutes, and the results were uploaded to my HealthLabs account less than 24 hours later. Perfect! I’m not advocating ditching your doctor for all your testing needs, but this type of service works very well for many situations. It looks like they also have a generous affiliate program for any of you guys that run health oriented websites or other websites where it would make sense to be an affiliate.

There is something for everyone in the list below. Get your bids in and good luck!

  1. That’s a very interesting service Travis. I had blood work done recently at a LabCorp and it took over a 6 weeks between seeing my doctor and actually getting it done. Granted, getting the doctor’s appointment was the majority of that waiting period.

    1. I was really happy with it. It was a follow up to some tests I had done at the doctor last year, and he wanted me to come in and pay him $100 for another visit to get the follow up work done. No thanks. I mentioned it to my dad the next day, and he decided to run some tests as well. He likes data but doesn’t like doctors. The lab visit he did was inside a Walmart. I guess these things are everywhere. A Quest location near me was in a grocery store pharmacy section.

  2. My last doctor visit was $0 and I waited about an hour.

My last set of lab tests was $0 and I waited less than 5 minutes (I deliberately went near the end of the day when I was told it would be quiet).

I had an MRI last year for my knees and it was $0. I got an evening appointment within a couple weeks (it wasn’t urgent).

Our (Canadian) medicare system up here isn’t perfect .. but I sincerely hope for all of you that Bernie wins in November .. it just boggles my mind how Americans consider their current health care system normal for a modern society! Socialism isn’t the answer for everything .. but in 2020 you’d think the very least one of the richest countries in the world would want to be sure everyone could afford to be healthy without going bankrupt.

Anyhow .. I hope all your tests came back negative and that your health is as good as can be! 🙂

  3. I’m in the states and just had…

A cardiologist visit the same day I went looking for one (and without a referral). Cost $20. Zero wait.

An echocardiogram and stress test done for $40 within 2 days.

But…lets be honest, neither of those cost you or I $20 or $0.

I pay for health insurance every month and you pay way more on most products, gas and your income taxes.
