Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.
Flips
PuppyAcademy.com sold for 1,500 USD recently at BuyDomains, vs 256 USD on 2015-05-04 at SnapNames. The first of a couple profitable, quick flips for BuyDomains. Both of them probably went to end users, but Whois still shows BuyDomains as the owner of both.
KingPartners.com sold for 2,000 USD recently at BuyDomains, vs 160 USD on 2015-05-02 at GoDaddy. Return of 12x in a little over a year.
Advise.net sold for 1,850 USD recently at Sedo, vs 999 USD on 2016-05-25 at Flippa.
H.gs sold for 4,456 USD recently at Sedo, vs 600 USD on 2011-01-17 at Sedo. Short seems to sell regardless of the extension. .GS for South Georgia.
Mudding.com sold for 2,800 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,200 USD on 2013-12-09 at NameJet. A thin one after commissions….just $180 profit after commission.
Flops
Protectic.com sold for 201 USD recently at DropCatch, vs 7,000 USD on 2015-05-12 at Uniregistry. It’s not particularly wise to pay up to buy a domain from Mr. Schilling, only to drop it a year later.
Hundred.net sold for 392 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,899 USD on 2015-06-30 at Flippa. This isn’t the type of numeric that Chinese buyers like.
e-coins.com sold for 1,480 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 3,700 USD on 2012-12-19 at Sedo.
Shares.info sold for 1,032 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 6,350 USD on 2014-08-06 at Flippa. Did .info domains peak? Selling a domain at about 15% of your purchase price isn’t fun.
Blankets.net sold for 850 USD recently at Flippa, vs 4,200 USD on 2011-01-09 at Sedo. This would have been a great minisite candidate back in the day.
VideoBoard.com sold for 1,025 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 3,790 USD on 2013-01-09 at Sedo. A loss of nearly 80% after commission.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.

Loan.info is listed as having recently sold at Flippa for $16,500
We’re way ahead of you, gpmgroup…..we covered Loan.info last week, and it was also a flop. 🙂

Thanks for pointing it out.
Interesting, thanks for taking the time to share the earlier post – some big losses and gains in there.
It’s interesting to watch the ups and downs…
