Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.
Flips
Ski.info sold for 3,100 USD recently at Flippa, vs 1,825 USD on 2015-09-04 at GoDaddy. Nice quick flip on Flippa. The key is the ability to replicate it.
.
NOY.com sold for 39,000 USD recently at Flippa, vs 8,500 USD on 2009-11-14 at NameJet. Very nice sale (transfer appears to have taken place yesterday), as the domain got up to only $20,100 in a listing last month.
.
Jami.com sold for 10,300 USD recently at NameJet, vs 6,119 USD on 2015-07-22 at NameJet.
.
27778.com sold for 9,100 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 2,015 USD on 2014-11-04 at GoDaddy.
.
JohnDoe.com sold for 14,600 USD recently at NameJet, vs 5,721 USD on 2013-09-10 at GoDaddy. Bigger price increase than I would have expected for a name like this in two years.
.
ZZRR.com sold for 6,100 USD recently at Sedo, vs 660 USD on 2009-10-02 at Sedo.
.
HHGH.com sold for 2,800 USD recently at NameJet, vs 150 USD on 2013-01-07 at NameJet. I could list a ton of these 4L.com’s each week…..though not all of them would be close to 20x before commissions.
Fairybell.com sold for 4,500 USD recently at Sedo, vs 245 USD on 2015-10-02 at DropCatch. 15x in under 30 days. Forwards to this site that promotes “Fairybell” as a trademarked type of Christmas light.
Flops
CreditTips.com sold for 4,300 USD recently at Flippa, vs 12,250 USD on 2006-06-13 at Moniker. Nice $6 CPC, but no love in the recent sale. Or, at least not as much love as its sale from nearly 10 years ago.
.
RefinanceMortgages.com sold for 3,600 USD recently at NameJet, vs 6,666 USD on 2009-07-17 at NameJet. Even better $15 CPC here.
.
Japan.tv sold recently for 5,461 USD at Sedo, vs 10,099 USD on 2011-02-21 at Sedo.
.
WomenCan.com sold for 409 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 4,288 USD on 2014-05-21 at GoDaddy. Big loss in a year and a half.
.
TopGuru.com sold for 475 USD recently at DropCatch, vs 2,500 USD on 2012-01-04 at Afternic. Unrelated to this flop, both of the two keywords are now their own new G extension, and both are doing pretty well.
.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.

Great! Thanks for the information. Its very helpful to see what is growing in value versus what is going down.
