Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.
Flips
Subscribe.me sold for 2,500 USD on 2015-09-25 at Sedo, vs 1,350 USD on 2011-02-09 at Sedo. Acquired by a company named Prospress, and they have a product called WooCommerce Subscriptions. “WooCommerce Subscriptions makes it easy to create and manage products with recurring payments. Create a subscription product just like any other WooCommerce product, and you’re ready to start selling subscriptions.” The page where Subscribe.me is currently being forwarded is below.
ZYHY.com sold for 1,555 USD on 2015-09-25 at Flippa, vs 850 USD on 2015-04-28 at GoDaddy. Nearly a double before commissions in five months.

Score.de sold for 5,742 USD on 2015-09-30 at Sedo, vs 4,140 USD on 2010-02-17 at Sedo. The domain is still showing as in transfer at Sedo.

Flops
LiveWater.com sold for 2,051 USD on 2015-09-29 at Pheenix, vs 26,075 USD on 2008-08-13 at Sedo. Presumably they had big plans for the domain when they spent $26k on it, but Archive.org doesn’t show any developed screenshots, and then they ultimately dropped the domain.
MercadoCentral.com sold for 760 USD on 2015-09-25 at GoDaddy, vs 3,500 USD on 2013-07-15 at Afternic.
RedClip.com sold for 159 USD on 2015-09-27 at NameJet, vs 2,500 USD on 2011-04-27 at Afternic.
Dowmload.com sold for 955 USD on 2015-09-28 at NameJet, vs 3,000 USD on 2013-08-21 at NameJet. Typos aren’t what they used to be……
BeveledMirrors.com sold for 110 USD on 2015-10-01 at NameJet, vs 2,000 USD on 2012-03-07 at Afternic. Product domains aren’t what they used to be either…..
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
