I was long screwed before cryptocurrency came along. I’ve been trading options for 25 years. A true option trader hedges risk, trades positions that will keep the risk limited to a range. When they are away they alway hedge to no risk or delta neutral. But not me. I was a stock picker that used options to give me leverage when I didn’t have enough money to buy a lot of stock. Made it much much more risky. I knew that I had a 33% chance of making 5 times my money. I would get 5 times my money back on one of my trades. Those are of course made up numbers and didn’t always happen or I would be a millionaire. But it happened enough that I have made some good money over the years. And gone bad enough that I took long breaks away from options. But what it left me with is a needle that barely moves unless I at least double my money.
Early buyers of crypto have seen unheard of returns. Unless you trade options. My Netflix purchase of Jan 12 210 calls were a dollar a purchase and now sit over $7. Thats a 10 day return of 700%. Not a ton of cryptos did that this week. I bought Feb 23 70 calls on Target for $2 and its at $4.50. That’s in 3 days. And even with Target trade I expect to make 5 times my money based on where I see the stock moving. Just in those two trades I can get the next 7 wrong an still come out ahead. But it screws me for that 6% return that I should be happy with. With all these assets that give such nice returns lately, I just can’t play the slow growth. My needle is fucked. It just won’t move anymore. Here are today’s names. Click for most recent price

All names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
.
Just saw a report on the news yesterday saying the only 2 media companies that will matter in a few years will be Disney and Netflix .. and while the rest won’t necessarily die in any way .. they will all be distant 3rds unless some major players merge.
.
Apparently cable subscription numbers, while dropping for a while, are now really softening at a much faster pace than before.
.
I think the Fox/Disney media transaction is going to scare a lot of the (relatively) smaller players into making some moves sooner than later.
