Eighteen years ago today I made one of my biggest investments of my time, money, and mind. I had a kid. It’s hard to explain what that means if you don’t have one, but easy if you do. You can have more money, more free time, and a great material life if you don’t have any. But if you do, you become a different person. You become a person that has this thing watching your every move. Your actions. They go from listening to every thing you say for the first 10 years, to listening to nothing the last few before they move out. They love you unconditionally but hate you in a heartbeat for simply telling them they have to be home by 10 pm. They force you to be accountable for your words and your actions. When I tell my daughter to turn the other cheek I too have to not punch Lenny Adams right in the mouth the next time I see him.
My kid is now officially an adult. I am soon to be an empty nester. Now I get to join the material club. My weekends dictated by me and my wife’s schedule, not heading to some sporting event or art class. But now that this time is ending I don’t want it to end. I would gladly drive 3 hours to go to a soccer tournament just to spend the weekend with my daughter. All those times you gave up yourself for your kids seemed difficult at the time but when they leave you wish you could do it forever. My daughter got me into domaining. I named her after Bear Bryant and named her Elizabeth Bryant and bought the dot com three months after she was born. I received several offers for the name but told everyone they had to pay for a year of college to have it. $10,000. Of course I didn’t know that college would be $50-70K a year by the time she made it there. But those offers made me realize that people would pay money for domains and it started me down the path to where I am now.
I ended up figuring out the parenting thing and the domaining thing. My life is better because of both. I am a better, richer person because of all the hard work I put into them. I’m hoping there is plenty of parenting and grand parenting ahead. And I know there is plenty of domaining ahead. It’s just going to be different. A different that hundreds of millions of people experience but its new to me. I get to turn my investment loose on the world and experience a different journey. Once I get through the tears of the transition, my wife and I are really looking forward to it. Here are today’s names, you have to click to see current price.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
