Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for August 1st, 2019

Escrow.com

Huge Domains aka DropCatch aka Namebright was nice enough to let me have the domain SingleServing.com yesterday at Godaddy auctions. I liked the name as a cooking name for single people. Could be a few other things. Its a brand but not a brand that BrandBucket or a brand sight would necessarily take but I do think its worth $2500 to $5K. You’ll see what I paid if you go to Travis’ recap of auction prices this afternoon. It’s getting more and more expensive to buy names but that’s a good thing if you’re a seller. The other positive is its been a good flip buying LLLL.com in the last 12 months and putting them back up for sale in the last month. 50% return on most of them if you bought towards the low. Of course I’m not selling, just appreciating the my buys are above water. As you’ve read here I had stayed away from LLLL.com for most of this year but have added a few here and there. Just not in the numbers that I was. I sold a few in the past 2 months that I rolled back into a few more and I picked up a few extra while I was on the hunt. The names I like are still going at the high end of LLLL.com auction prices which often means more than $2K. But they seem to be the ones that sell for me so that’s what I buy.

You all remember the sale of Voice.com. It was sold by the company MSTR or MicroStrategy Incorporated. I actually didn’t know that it was publicly traded until Travis pointed it out and all the other great names in their portfolio. What I liked about the company is that it was getting trashed. They lost some key executives, had some reporting of finance problems, and overall seemed to be losing a bit of focus. They actually admitted it and said they were going to get back on track. The stock’s market cap is a billion dollars but they have almost $500 million of it in cash and liquid assets. Two things I like, companies with tons of cash and at a down point, and a $30 million sale added to a quarter that may or may not of been on the radar. They would have missed earnings but the sale of the domain put them up quite a bit. In short, what was expected wasn’t so bad and that sent the stock up 11% yesterday. Rather than buy stock I leveraged with options. Up 200% so far but I think it goes higher. But please don’t buy based on my opinion. Do your own diligence. I will probably be converting the options to stock just so I can say I own a piece of those amazing domains they own.

Domain of the Day:  CardCenter.com Put this on the list a few days ago. Great credit card comparison site name with solid affiliate potential. Going to take a build out to hit that potential

Quote of the Day: In the real world, the smartest people are people who make mistakes and learn. In school, the smartest people don’t make mistakes.” – Robert Kiyosaki

Namejet, Sedo, Snap, and other Names Up for Auction

CommunityDay.com Probably not a ton of money going to be thrown at this but a lot of towns have this. Community Help day. No reserve

WorldOfWords.com Essentially domain investing

InstantKarma.com quite a few days out but watching this name the whole way

NewsReports.com Fairly high reserve but past sales of news names suggest it could still get there

MothersBest.com Upgrade name for several companies

OSOJ.com There have been some pretty good deals at Sedo on LLLL.com. I don’t think people think to look for them

Godaddy Domains With Multiple Bids

LabResearch.com Perfect for that Labrador research center you’re going to open. But probably better for a science company

BeautyMarket.com The biggest market in the world if you add fashion

EverMusic.com Good streaming name. Streaming gives you endless choices

HealthyStore.com and HealthyStores.com The singular is much better but might as well get the package.

CoolDoor.com Two simple words. I’m a big fan of doors though. Your front door is your most important part of the front of your house

Discovered.net Talent discovery name. “Get discovered at Discovered.net”

Simplio.com Top result operates on a dot co. Would have liked the name without the companies that need the upgrade

jwzh.com This is an example of the CHiPs that I don’t like. I was a seller on these. Now you see why

DefineX.com A lot of companies decided they like this name. None of them on the dot com exact match. Not sure if any of them are of size to pay the million dollars you’ll be looking for

MultiFinance.com Godaddy values this one pretty high. Then again, finance and money DO go hand and hand

NothingToSay.com That would be a first for me

BuyCryptoNow.com Super direct call the action

LuxRentals.com Don’t know what they are renting but sounds like it will be high end stuff

TwoArrows.com As easy of a logo as it gets

Rising.net Great keyword but the dot net will make it cheap

Finmo.com Buttercrackers tells me I have to buy this fintech name

MaxSpa.com I’m not in to spa names but maybe you are

TXH.org I know LLL.org don’t sell very well but at under $300 it might be worth a shot IMO

VisitCabo.com The most common site name for tourism is VisitInsertCity.com

Zomox.com 5L under $50…….for now

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. 1. Actually high prices is artificial demand by bidder 91932 at godaddy. It’s that single bidder who instigates most auctions in the final minutes with larger proxies. This is not end users, or investor inflicted, but one party. So it’s kind of an artificial demand.

  2. I like SingleServing.com. Lots of potential imo! Where are you going to list it for sale?
