You ever read an article and feel like it could have just as easily been a tweet? Sites live on traffic and in order to get traffic they are forced to take another persons article, add their opinion in short little piece, and then link to the original site at the end. All the while the real interest was the original article not the opinion. 99% of sites don’t write real content anymore. Its opinions of other people’s work or just opinions. No research, not much time put in, and no original content. It takes too much time. A good article takes weeks to write yet some people churn out 4 a day. And it shows. I quit writing here regularly because I found myself doing exactly that, churning, and it was wasting everyone’s time and it certainly wasn’t helping my advertisers. But I was finding some entertaining or informative stuff so I started using Twitter more often.
Twitter is perfect for exactly that. Linking to good things. It’s great finding an account that is entertaining or points out interesting articles. If you want to add a quick opinion you can say a few words in the retweet. It also doesn’t waste people’s time taking them back to DSAD when in reality all you wanted to do is just read the article. “Don’t build you brand on Twitter, do it on your website!!!!” We have. Everyone knows where to find us. I am also building my name as my brand. And if you do it right your name becomes associated with your businesses. People know me for DSAD with Travis, Josh, and Mike Sullivan. And the nursery. I don’t need to push them somewhere to build those brands. You put out good stuff and they’ll want to find out more about you. I do think there are great stories behind the people that bought domains and some day I’ll explore them. Until that you’ll have to read my tweets from other writers.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
