One thing I am grateful for is growing up with no cellphones or Internet. I can only imagine the stupid things that would be around, leftover from the mind of an idiot kid. The brain of a teenager and young adult is not something you want etched in stone. Mitch Trubiski is probably what would have happened to me. When people searched through all his tweets from High School one of them was “I like Kissing Titties”. A poetic tweet. Now every time they mentioned his name my wife would quote his tweet. To the point where she would just say “Is Kissing Titties” starting?”
I can only imagine the nickname and stuff they would have dug up had I had it left eternally on the Internet. I’m a 51 year old man and I still have to remind myself that an action I’m about to take isn’t a great choice. That voice didn’t exist in my teens. In fact the contrary. That voice said “that would be awesome” as I dipped the tennis ball in gas and started kicking it around.
