I talked about it on the Sherpa Show the other day but not sure anyone is watching or listening to them lately so I’ll tell the story again. I only have about 500 names and I try and keep them all at Godaddy to make things easier to manage. There are a few at some other registrars but I tend to move them as soon as I’m able. While going through the auctions list I saw that a lot of the LNN are really getting great prices. The last few I sold this summer reached great prices. Pretty much all over $5000 and even $7500 at a regular Godaddy auction. But the first few went for a few thousand. I was looking back and wishing I had waited. Which is pretty much the case for all my domains I sold at auction. The one I really wished I hadn’t sold was L22 dot com. Short repeater with a double 2. I went to see how much I had sold it for and couldn’t find it. I looked through all my emails and nothing. I looked at my auction accounts. Nothing. I looked in my Godaddy account and it wasn’t there so I just needed to find out when I sold it. I remembered selling it but forgot the details.
Turns out I had the domain at Uniregistry and never sold it. I don’t have very many names there and I never check it. It was pretty much found money because I thought it was gone. Of course its not really found money because I paid for the name so it was actually lost money until I found the name. But it was money I didn’t expect. Like the hundred dollars in your jacket from last winter. The money was yours all along but you were doing just fine without it and now you get $100 to play with. In this case I’m not sure what I’m going to get but as you’ll see below, its now up for auction. For real this time

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
“but not sure anyone is watching or listening to them lately…” Oh we’re listening, and don’t you dare stop making them Shane!
Well, at least two people are watching 🙂
Not sure anyone is watching or listening? We’re right here!
