You may or may not have noticed I missed yesterday’s list and haven’t been on Twitter the last few days. I got food poisoning Friday afternoon/night and it hit me pretty hard Saturday early in the AM.
I haven’t vomited in 20 years and didn’t this time, but I knew something was wrong when I woke up at 2 am and was about to shit myself. Sorry for the horrific imagery and curse words but there is no other way to describe it. To make matters worse I was at my in laws with lots of people in a small place. I looked in the mirror and my stomach was bloated like a woman that was going to give birth any second. I knew it wasn’t good but went back to bed. An hour later we’re back. By the time I woke up at 8 am couldn’t get out of bed. I literally slept 24 hours and missed the entire day. Only awake long enough to have some water, some Ritz crackers and to text Travis to see if he could do the list. I knew I couldn’t ask Josh because he had the flue. Our group is falling apart.
I am pretty sure it isn’t the flu because I didn’t have many other problems. A little fever, no strength, and no appetite and day two I was able to sit up. Exactly the same symptoms, feelings, and recovery of my spoiled fish episode in Kenya. The last time I got food poisoning. I will say one thing. The fast food restaurants I’ve eaten as I’ve traveled to see family have been much dirtier than normal. I think the staff is shorter than normal because of the holidays and probably busier with other people traveling like me. Either way I’m guessing the ingredients in the Subway and burrito places are being left out longer than they should and in general not as healthy as normal.
I was kind of pissed because I’ve been taking tons of vitamins, Airborne, B12, got all my shots, and sleeping an extra 2 hours a day compared to normal. I’ve been watching all the people around me get the flu and was determined not to get it. I don’t think I did,but it hurt just as bad and I lost two good days. Fortunately there was some good football. Problem is I slept through most of it. We’ll be back and strong again tomorrow.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
As a nurse, my first thought on PPI.org was “proton pump inhibitor”. This is the class of drug prilosec falls under. As these are commonly used for chronic heartburn, aka Acid Reflux aka GERD. Take for chronic not acute (holiday meal) symptoms. If taking PPI ‘s make sure to check interactions if your on blood thinners, antibiotics, and adderall xr (very sensitive to acid content of stomach). PPI’s may also inhibit absorption of iron and other minerals or nutrients. That is my PSA for today (psa is also a lab for prostrate health, if over 50, male or family hx of prostrate Cancer, get this lab done).
“One hour later I have determined its an adult name” I spit up my damn coffee because of this haha.
Shit happens. Sounds like you’re feeling better so that’s good. I hope you’ll be 100% in no time. Happy New Year/Decade!
Thanks Tal and everyone. Feel better but ending the year on a limp. We’ll be back next year ready to go
FinPay does not hold a candle to FinMo!
