Well we made it. It’s the last day of the year and it looks like we all should live to see 2019 if we can make it through New Years. It was a pretty good year for the people I talk to on a daily basis with almost all of them having one of their best years in domain investing. Hoping we all have an even better year in 2019.
I’m grateful for a lot of things but one of the main things I’m most grateful for is that the readers here aren’t stupid. They are intelligent people that can make their own decisions. They can look at things and use them as a guide and not take them as fact. Estibot and Godaddy valuations? Guides. If a name sells for more or less than the values given they don’t hold up signs on the corner of Wal-Mart asking for justice. They can use a Tide Pod and realize they shouldn’t eat them without having to read the label that says “Don’t eat this” . They realize that articles without names and prices are campfire stories and not lessons. Good in the same way the Bible is good. No proof, you just have to believe. They realize that you can make stupid mistakes and not be stupid and at the same time have an incredible sale that resulted from doing nothing incredible.
They understand that bloggers write every single day and there will be good days and bad days and anyone who puts out a blog deserves some kudos for effort alone. They understand that they pay exactly zero for the services of a blog so if they get more than a penny’s worth of value from the blog then they can’t complain. And if they don’t and they still come back then they have a different problem. And finally I am thankful for readers that are making effort. Most have a regular job, a family, kids to raise, and personal obligations. Yet they still read in an effort to make some extra money and be able to do and have some better things than they wouldn’t have without domain investing. Those are the kind of people that come here every day and that is what I am most thankful for in 2018. Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price and to fund this daily list
Quote of the Day: “Don’t be distracted by criticism. Remember – the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you.” – Zig Ziglar
Domain of the Day: Scentz.com The z for the s is always cheaper but cheaper doesn’t mean inexpensive. Billions and billions of dollars in scented water aka perfume and cologne
Namejet, Sedo, and other Names Up for Auction
BigFacilities.com For people that are looking for bigger space or some time of tool service
Gerzo.com 5L with no bids
Moxby.com Another one here. I think the expiring domains at Sedo are getting overlooked because there is so much junk mixed in
WMO.io Not sure of the value of LLL.io to be honest. No bids
IBLA.com I’ve made it a point to show how much I like the LLLL.com with good letters that end in A. Here’s another one. I just wish they were cheaper
WSBA.com And another one
NF11.com The repeating number LLNN.com seem to be getting bids this last six months
ASDL.com All good letters. A little to go to hit reserve
Spotsy.com You’re going to find this hard to believe but Taryn is high bidder on this one
Flexibar.com Met reserve. I was surprised how many businesses had bar in the name
PriceRadar.com Find the best price on every item
Bonpo.com One bidder on this 5L
Zenku.com Another nice sounding 5L.com
Godaddy Domains With Multiple Bids
BitcoinBroker.com While the value may have dropped considerably there is still a lot of value in bitcoin names. Not so sure about all alt coin stuff though
CryptoBoss.com Godaddy way overervalues blockchain and coin names because the sales were so good over the past few years that the algo is messed up. But as I said above. Still value
ChicagoEats.com A lot of good eats in Chicago
GoldFX.com Gold was here before bitcoin and will always be a highly traded commodity. Although I do think it won’t have as much appeal to future generations
ExclusiveListings.com Exclusive is a hot topic. Some people search it, others hate it. For the word listings it isn’t very controversial
Ilobe.com 5L.com getting a little love
Bruso.com Same here but a next level of quality in this name
Apola.com And then there is this one which is right in the middle of the first two in terms of quality. In my opinion of course
Speakz.com Same style, different quality
HomeIndustry.com More money is being made at home than any point in time. I have no proof to back up that statement but I’m pretty sure I’m right
TheDancefloor.com Party planner
Fanjun.com Chinese domain name
Diapet.com From looking on Google I think the bids are coming from a company that makes die cast toys
Thelon.com A name and a river
ThisIsFashion.com Pretty much tells you what the site is going to be about
NatureNutrition.com Straight from nature to you
Nilax.com Sounds like a medicine I would take for a stomach problem
BDTX.com Texas
EatRun.com Don’t love it but two short, easy to spell words
42w.com NNL.com continue to have good liquid value
Off.cc Getting a few nice bids
PerkCard.com There are dozens of companies that help businesses offer exactly this
RunnersWebsite.com 468,000 backlinks. Buying history
SpotLab.com I passed over this a few times on the list and each time I thought I liked it but didn’t put it here. But after going through one last time I just liked the simplicity of it and thought it was a nice online brand
Godaddy Domains With One or No Bids
BetFl.com I would want to own every state
FlowerSafe.com A product that will kill the weeds but not your flowers. No bids
PrairieServices.com Another one in my wheelhouse. Quite few companies offer products and services for Prairie Restoration
BeHarder.com A lot of ways this one could go
ChangeGlass.com Windshield repair site
HeatLite.com Not a big fan of smaller product names but at $12 I at least take a look
LifeMountain.com Sounds like a water, a self help site, or an addiction center
SwissFountain.com Sounds like two of the three above
BubbleSmash.com Phone app
LegalTide.com No bids. Hard to get a good legal name for this cheap
Level123.com Pretty easy to remember

Happy New Year!
Thank you for this list, and the effort you put in daily…it definitely shows. Sometimes, I look forward to the short story and the quote of the day, instead of the actual list!
Best wishes for 2019!
Very true Ketan! Me too.
Thanks for the great domain commentary here and on DomainSherpa Shane! I’ve gotten a huge amount of value this year. I owe you a beer or three. Happy New Year!
Your middle paragraph is spot on.
.
Happy new year, DSAD!
Great wrap-up Shane and MANY thanks for your insights, guidance and inspiration over the years! Wishing you, your wife, and your daughter a spectacular 2019.
All the very best,
Paul.
