Below was an email that I received from a nursery called Eshraghi. I’ve received a lot of emails regarding COVID. Most are a bunch of fluff that tells us how they are handling the situation. This is a first EVER that told us that we can’t cancel or they will penalize us or warning us if we pay late. To me its completely insensitive and unnecessary. All of these are thoughts and things we don’t want to happen but can’t believe they sent it out. Your thoughts?
We are open and shipping like mad. As the virus rolls on we will continue to operate and deliver top quality plants and service to our customers. Keep in mind we do have some limitations to last-minute changes/cancellations. No order cancellations within 5 business days of the ship date. If canceled within the 5 days, a 25% restocking fee will be applied. Tag charges are not returnable, nor part of the restocking charge and will incur a 5% fee. The last thing we want to do is pull the plant material to the shipping dock, tag it, clean it and then send it back. Trucks delayed by the customer that are scheduled to ship will be assessed a day dock fee of 5% of the order total per day. All canceled or delayed orders will be returned to open inventory for immediate sales. We do expect to be paid within billing terms. If payment terms are an issue, please let me know before it ships, not after.
This is not uncharted territory for Eshraghi Nursery. We were built to handle moments like this.

Dealing with live plants I kinda get it. They would lose if they kill the plants moving them around and shipment gets cancelled. They say to contact them ahead if you’ll have trouble paying. They might have worded it sweeter tho.
I would completely stop doing business with them in the future.
