I’m surprised how many smart people are still in bitcoin. While it may have been good for those that rode it up from under $1000, those that have been in it the last two years have been played like a new guitar. I explained it to Mike Saleese a while ago. The big bitcoin owners are in a game of 10 to 7. They put in little buys to raise the price up to $10K, sell size to bring it down. Back and forth, back and forth. While I’m sure you can make money with them, there are definitely better ways to make a buck in today’s work. I’ve said enough how worthless of a product it is so I don’t need to say it again. Less and less people take it, it is a horrible store of value, and the value is only as good as belief in the product and slowly people just don’t care. Being irrelevant is worse than being loved or hated.
On a personal note. I left at lunch to take a half day off yesterday. I had worked every day since March 10th with zero time off and it was time to go home. I ran 14 miles with my friends in a pretty decent pace in the morning and when I got to work the temp dropped 20 degrees and the winds picked up. I was flat out miserable. To be below freezing windchill in May is ridiculous and I had enough. I told the crew I was going home and they would be fine. You say why didn’t you do that before? Because there was SOOOO much to do. And the last 3 weeks the lines just to get in the nursery have been down the road. I just needed to help. The bad weather and the short day on Sunday meant I didn’,t so I went home. I’m not trying to prove anything by working every day. It’s what you do when you own a business. You do what it takes. And until yesterday I needed to do a lot of work. So I came home, answered emails, did this list, had a Zoom meeting with family, ate dinner, and finally finished my book Empire of the Summer Moon. It only took 6 months but it was a great read. I highly recommend. Today starts the next leg.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Shane, I was never smart but I was lucky. I made close to 4 Million in BTC, got in 2012. I did lose 200K in XRP, but no complaints. BTC now is a terrible investment now, but I am out, spending time with the grandkids being retired.
Congrats Scott. They always say its better to be lucky than good
Very true. Thanks Shane!
Finally, a book club I could keep up with – no pressure since it’s only 2 books a year! Looking forward to your next recommendation on Thanksgiving. 🙂
