Inspire Brands is buying Dunkin Donuts. I’m not a big fan of Inspire Brands. I give them credit as investors. They know how to make money. They buy brands and then milk the shit out of them. For instance, Jimmy Johns. The minute they bought them the first thing they did is take a few chips out of each bag. Something nobody missed but saves them hundreds of thousands over the course of millions of bags. They completely revamped the menu to put it in an order that pushes the more profitable sandwiches on the board first. Started a rewards program and gave away a ton of free stuff and then turned it off so you have to buy 10x more things to get the same rewards.
All this seems like good business. It is. Its always good for a new person to come in and refocus or revitalize a business. But they usually do it at the expense of the consumer. Ok maybe I’m just jealous. Its exactly how I would do it. Change little things that make more money but that the consumer won’t notice. Jimmy’s sales are hard to measure because of COVID but I know the owner got close to billion and Inspire improved margins and probably sales. I’m sure they will do the same with Dunkin

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
