We at DSAD are a little bit of history. If you go to Namejet you’ll notice there is a box that allows you to search by tld. One of those TLDs is dot pizza. How many dot pizza have ever been auctioned? One. A name that was part of our themed auctions we used to run at Namejet. For some reason they coded it in to the search and the rest is history. And I mean that because there has never been a present for dot pizza.
Speaking of tlds that are bad investments. Dot club. Yes, like any ending it could possibly work for a company to brand using dot club. But there is zero resale in the tld and for any domain investor to buy it would be silly. They marketed their way to success and made their money and you are seeing exactly what happens when the marketing dollars start to dwindle or people realize they have nothing special. They drop the domains. If I could bet I would say that on this day in one year the registrations will be under a million. This is nothing against the founders and people that run it. They have done a good job. It’s a TED talk on marketing. But all things run its course and my guess is its time to bank some money.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Wow, surprised how well NorthFirst.com is doing.
