My brother and I were laughing the other day about the time when I tried to jump a pretty wide creek and it didn’t go so well. I build a huge ramp. Out of logs and packed mud. Looked like a real Evel Knievel ramp. I was never good at math so my calculations were just a few feet short. I came flying down the hill, hit the ramp, and crashed right into the side of the creek. Handlebar turned right into my ribs. Knocked the wind out of me and almost unconscious to the point all could say to my brother was “Go Get Mom!!!” Something that he still says to this day 40 years later. I’ll cut my finger and he’ll say “You need me to get Mom?” Makes me laugh every time
But it does remind me of the “good old days”. Playing outside until the parents called us in. Catching lightening bugs and putting them in a mason jar. Hanging out with neighbor kids that were friends for no other reason than they lived close. Shooting basketball for 3 hours straight pretending that I am standing on the line for the game winning shot 400 times. I don’t yearn for those days but I sure to have fond memories of them. I would have never thought that some of my fondest memories would be my bruised ribs and a concussion.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Yea, I feel sorry for any kid who didn’t grow up near a creek. I spent many days of my life having great adventures at the ones near my house when I was a kid. Oh, and I’ll be using the need me to get your mom line from now on when you complain about something.
