Not that we needed any more proof that one world premium domain names are becoming rare and expensive assets, we see that names like River.com and Clear.com changing hands the last few days. Clear.com was sold by Sprint to none other than Andrew Rosener and Media Options. We don’t know the price but my guess that it takes a lot of zeros to make Sprint part with one of the best domain names in the world. The obvious end user is the company of the same name Clear that has pre auth airport security. They use ClearMe which would be a great name if they called the company Clear Me. But they don’t and Clear.com is the ultimate name for them. If I were to go out on a limb and guess I would say that Media Options is purchasing it for Clear but putting it in their name for publicity and to show that they are THE brokers you want if you are trying to get a hard to get domain name. But that is 100% a guess and in due time Media Options will most likely fill in the details. And maybe even tell us more on Domain Sherpa.

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct.
