I was looking at my Godaddy auction purchases in 2019 and in hind site most were good and a few were questionable. All in all I think they were money making purchases. Or at least will seem like it in a few years. In my opinion that’s how you have to look at it. Because right now you had to beat a bunch of people out at auction so you obviously paid the highest amount anyone was willing to pay. So you overpaid. The key is how will that purchase look in 3 years. 5 years. I think they will all look like bargains. Except for a few closeouts and some LLLL which are lottery ticket in the former and a hold of value in the latter. Let me know what you think. All dot com. Total $20K

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Interesting to see your purchases, thanks for sharing. If you pay attention to a successful domainers purchases and pricing, there is much to learn. 95 percent of my acquisitions the past 8 years have been off DSAD lists and I’m glad to make those purchases and fund the operation.
Let’s just hope one of the two players somes along for SwissCo.com (2k+) Yeah….I grabbed that one, that was me “overpaying”… Questionable. Maybe. Like you said, time will tell. It always does.
Thanks for all of your hard work and for always sharing (that goes for the whole team). If I may make a request and maybe it’s a good content idea….. Once your loyal fans purchase these brandables and product domain names, please give us some good tips and tricks on how to sell, monetize them and where to list them specifically. Like brandables at brandbucket, try building your product names using xyz affiliate or try this route. That’s the stuff I really need. I really need a good strategy and something proven to make some money on product EMD domains.
Also, try a bison or ostrich burger, both are good.
Happy 2020 and onward!
Kind regards,
MJH
Thank you Michael for the kind words . There are some basics in selling but the most important would be to make sure they are in the Godaddy registration path and on Afternic unless they are mid five figure and up
Shane- you will do fine with those purchases- love Finmo, LeafMarket, HoneyLife, Keeto, the 4L’s, and of course the one from Seinfeld- Gipple!
Cheers,
Mike
Godaddy has been the most expensive platform to win auctions for a decade now but you did well with some possible home runs in there. Also, your transparency is second to none.
