If you read on twitter you know I’ve had a pretty good week of sales. I sat back this weekend and took it all in. A lot of hard work paid off in one quick swoop. It will definitely change some things financially and how I spend my time. After posting a tweet about it, I realized they’re a few people in the industry that don’t support me and will never support me. I’ve realized I need to shut them off. I won’t shut them down but I 100% am shutting them off. I started by blocking the people I don’t want to see or have my tweets be seen. It’s not really a dislike thing it’s a vibe thing. There are people that aren’t using Twitter properly or their writings only want it to be them. They tell the story and that’s it. They make everything them and don’t encourage anyone else. I know it’s a me problem. I should be able to ignore them but its still easier to just block them. It’s my time, my choice. Erased.
There are a few others that NEVER like a tweet and some that barely have. After thousands and thousands of me me me and look at my stuff posts they can’t even like one post from someone. Countless opinions and they can’t give some a half a second of effort of positivity that is a like. Twitter was made to interact, to share. I’ts just selfish and insulting to anyone that interacts with them. There are a few people that fit that and I blocked them all. Erased
Life was meant to share with people. But only the right people. Don’t give your time or yourself to people that only have a vacuum. Save it for those that give back the energy and make you better.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
I dont tweet but saw blog posting about your sales….congrats! Looks like Kate and team killing it! Enjoy your success.
I dont do facebook or any social media and life is pretty simple….just like 10-15 years ago. Phone calls to my land line goes to email…phone is unplugged. We have smart phone and tablet for travel.
F*uck the naysayers! . Keep on truckin’ !!
Paul
Thanks Jeff and Paul
I saw the quote of the day and came straight here to comment, will go back up and see the list now…….that is the best quote ever.
I read about your two sales on a blog. Fantastic news and I am really happy for you. You deserve the success.
Your spot on in what you’re saying Shane.
So many people in this world believe it revolves around them.
Credit where credit is due, from what I’ve seen you deserve the plaudits.
l’ve only been on the fringes of the industry watching, listening and learning for the last few years and think I can see those that have made a success of the domain industry and are going out of their way to help others.
You are definitely one of those people and I for one have enjoyed listening and learning from one of the true genuine guys in the industry.
It’s taken me a long time to learn some of life’s lessons about people but I’m getting there and have slowly been ridding all of the toxic people from my life and focusing on those that bring support and positivity into my life and actually care what happens in my life.
Looks like your on a similar clear out. Fair play!
Good luck for the future.
Cheers
Tony
It’s a Jewish and Christian thing; a black and white issue. It’s funny. But it’s true. Imagine those of us who are both black, and Christian. Look back, you will see the gang that is ruling the domain “industry”, and how disrespectful they are to others.
Congrats Shane, you deserve big sales for all the good info you share with others all the time. I joined twitter about 6 weeks ago and was surprised that there are few people who just blow their own horn all the time and even if you try to debate something with them they will block you. These folks have very thin skin and I am rather happy not dealing with these folks; who wants negativity all the time?
Hope you keep doing better and better…
I saw the news on Twitter, so epic congrats Shane! 🍾🍾🍾 I’m looking forward to seeing what the names are.
Thanks Don, Kyle, Mike, DomainBoss, and Tony
Congrats Shane!
I post very little, but I do enjoy your insights and the way you view domaining / life. Also from the midwest like you as well. You have been very kind to share your insights with the masses. Still very new to domain investing so I appreciate the way you communicate as well.
Best,
Kyle
Hey it if was a seven figure deal you would at least triple the haters! Something to look forward to.
Selling two of them on same weekend is just over the top exciting. Nice.
Don
I sold HappyDeals.com two years ago for $25,000 at Uni. I got an email offer to buy the name from Asia earlier this week. I don’t know if the buy transferred the name and left old contact info or what, or if that buy offer was coming from dated whois info. I certainly never got any emails from Godaddy re the name. So somebody blew it big time. I participated and watched the auction till end. I think it sold for $9600. THough maybe Id buy it back on the cheap, $2500 or so. Its a great name actually.
John,
Stories like this are amazing but unbelievably common. Its crazy that people spend $25K and then just abandon the name
Congrats on the sales Shane.
