Volume. In any market, if you want to know if current prices are an anomaly and can hold look at the volume. It’s the same for domains. One domain that sells for a lot of money has no effect on prices because it is usually represents a company or person that really wants the name. The price determined by how bad they want it. But volume changes that. When numerous names start changing hands for “a lot of money” then all the boats start to float. At least boats in the harbor of similar names. Right now that is premium single word dot coms. The volume of names that are selling are most likely at all time high. And prices are skyrocketing as a result. We could have a week long discussion of why and who is buying the names but in my short analysis its the perfect storm of new money in cannabis, bitcoin, and startups and old money realizing that this may be the last chance to get a short one word brand for under $100K. And the volume of sales gives sellers confidence in asking for higher prices and the comps for buyers to see that they aren’t bluffing. The final kicker are the domain investors that sold the name now have fresh money and need to replace the name in the portfolio. All of which leads to a damn good market if you have these names. Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
>>Right now that is premium single word dot coms<<
Shane, by single are you referring to singular as opposed to plural dot coms, or to all premium one word dot coms?
