Today’s the big day. You’ve heard me talk about it in the past. I’m moving my clock to the correct time. After 20 years of having it 1 hr 26 fast I am going back. Why in the hell is it that off? My old clock kept moving a minute off a week and after a few years that’s how far it got. I was so used to it in my head that I changed the new clock to the off time of the old. That clock has held steady for over a decade.
But the older I get, the more tired I get from work, the less I want to do math every time I set my clock or wake up to find out what time it is. Surprisingly I have not once gotten up at the wrong time. You would have thought I would have gotten up and realized its much earlier. Nope. Its engrained. You would also think I would look at any other clock and think its wrong. Nope. All other clocks are right. I know its crazy. It shows how much routine I’ve built into my life. Doesn’t mean my life is routine. It merely shows that there definitely parts of it that are so I can be flexible with the rest. Next up, switching spots in the garage. I’m tired of parking on the right side. 🙂
Anyone else have a routine that doesn’t serve a purpose it just is?
