Remember when people were talking about the prospects of dot web? Even Rick Schwartz said this back in 2017.
I had my .ws mistake so its not that I am saying that I am smarter than anyone that thought .web was going to be a good investment. Just saying that I had exactly 0% chance of buying .web. It wasn’t descriptive and offered nothing new of value to a buyer compared to the other TLDs that can offer a description of type of site or company.
What you won’t see me doing after my lesson learned in .WS is predicting success of any tld. I have no idea. What makes things popular is acceptance and desire and I am not going to pretend I have any idea what some sector or industry is going to choose. The great thing is we all get to put our money behind our thoughts and its our money to be made or lost. That is unless you are going to “school” us about it and then there’s a little more to lose.
And yes, Bama was awful yesterday but a lot of that was sloppiness but a lot of it was LSU is a damn good team. Going to miss rooting for them in the playoffs. I’m typing this at half time and hoping I can add an edit but highly doubt it.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
People rarely say “on the internet” anymore… it’s more like “on the web” etc… (visit us online… and/or visit us on the web, etc) it just flows nicely.
I tend to agree w/ Rick on the prosptect of .web. If you must go outside of .com, then I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better alternative than .web.
It’s generic enough & short enough that it just seems to work so much better than all of those other gTLD’s.
I’ve heard about the lawsuit w/ .web but does anyone have any updates on it?
