One of the things that I think is totally messed up in the world is the lack of praise and love that people give each other. Not gloating or tearful thanks yous, just simple little things. I jokingly said that Elliot Silver has never liked ONE post of anyone. None. Elliot is one of the nicest guys in the industry and would do anything for anyone but I am 100% positive that a like on one of his followers replies would have made that person feel really good. A one second click would probably make someone feel special for a second. In my opinion it’s something he should do to keep the relationship even.
I don’t mean to call Elliot out so again, please don’t take it as negative. He gives back plenty. Its just a good example of how people that have a ton of followers can reward them for giving you their time and providing you an income. The balance of life is getting love and giving love. If you don’t show appreciation to someone then they will eventually stop doing the things you actually appreciate. People are simple. They have two things that are built in. One, they like to keep busy. Two, the like to be acknowledged and appreciated. If those are filled things generally work out.
I say this a lot but until you’ve raised a kid you’ll never learn and put into practice the things that only raising a child can give you. They teach you more than the world can teach you. You quickly learn that its not about you anymore. For many its the first time that you’ll be forced to be 2nd. They will ask you so many questions that you yourself will start questioning why you do things. They want you to love them. They want you to love their mother. Kids need the feedback to feel loved. You can generally tell an older adult who hasn’t raised kids. They tend to be annoyed by things easier and life is much more built around them. I don’t think raising kids is for everyone. But I will admit all my friends have raised or are raising kids. Because we think the same and our schedules and lives are similar.
Where I’m going with this is to make sure that if you like something let them know. You have a better chance that they will keep doing it. A lot of people in your life put a lot of effort into things that make your day better. You could make theirs better if you told them you appreciate it.
Now buy some domains off the list. I don’t write for praise. (yes, today’s GD list is terrible. worst in weeks)

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Very well said Shane!
