Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday June 28th , 2018

Escrow.com

How do I price my Afternic BIN prices?  That’s a question that came up yesterday and almost every day.  I answered with a joke but I will give a serious answer today.  There are several questions that I ask myself before I come up with a price

  1. How much did I buy it for?
  2. How many offers have I received in the near term?
  3. What have similar names sold for
  4. What would it cost me to replace the name with a similar name
  5. How much money would the domain be worth to the person who bought it i.e. is it one of the best in their category
  6. What are the alternatives to the name
  7. What’s my need for money

All of these things come into play when pricing.  If I bought a name for $30,  had it a year or two, can find another similar name for a few hundred dollars, then I am going to price it from $1500 to $2500 depending on the other factors.  Different answers to the various question get different prices.  And after that I guess.  Yes, I guess.  I pick a number that I think I can get for it based on the questions above, gut feeling, and my need for cash at a given moment.   I have missed some good opportunities to sell some names that I got greedy on and still hold.  Ten times more often I sold because I can’t sit still and NOT buy names for weeks on end.  I was addicted to buying names and the only way to feed the beast was to sell my in demand names.  If I don’t what will I talk about on Sherpa.  I don’t do that anymore.  I put a BIN on the names that I think are a great return and I sit back.  And its working well enough.   Haven’t had a sales regret at all in the last 12 months and I have sold a name or two a month (my sales portfolio is about 450).   So there is an answer. Feel free to ask more in the comments and I’ll answer a few each day.   Here are today’s domains.  Hope you find a good one. Click to see the latest price

Domain of the Day:

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction

EnergyBall.com  Good brand. Maybe not as good of a brand as Big Dick Energy but still nice

Oakwell.com  Upgrade name for several.  Should meet reserve under $1000

HighYield.com  MyHospital.com  and MobileSales.com    All amazing names but the reserves are tough

Sponsor.org  No reserve on this one.  Dot org works with the keyword IMO

CancerServices.com  No reserve.  Only two bidders

Sabam.com  Nice little 5L.com .  Actually a typo of Saban, the best coach in football

NationalCare.com So many uses for this one.  Reserve is $5-10K

Sedo’s Great Domains ENDS TODAY.    A few have already met reserve and will sell

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

XXBXX.com  Already has a great first bid.   Chinese love these types of patterns

Crypto-Blog.com  The space is so big that even the hyphen name has value.  CryptoBlog.com would probably get 5 figures right now

AppCrypto.com  Thousands and thousands of crypto apps out there right now

AntiquesMarket.com  Good name for marketing for all those places along the highway with a dozen billboards each

NatureLeaf.com  I’m a big fan of leaf names.  Liked them before cannabis became legal

BitCoinAdvise.com  This is how they spell advice in the other true English speaking countries

Somewhere.net   Show them where somewhere is

BarFriends.com  They are some of the best friends you’ll have.  Until you give up drinking and they replace you quickly

PlantGel.com  I’m buying it…stay away

LasPalapas.com  People are bidding it up in hopes of selling to existing name sharers

LeFox.com  Means “to walk in silence” in Spanish.  I could have that wrong

Goslo.com   Nice little pronounceable 5L.

Zoosy.com  I have quite a few of these type names.  I think Koosy and Soosy are my closest so it will be interesting to see where it closes

CQJC.com  The Q and J don’t scare the Chinese.  Thus the higher bids

AlarmServices.com  Billions of dollars in the security business.  Ring alone is a billion

XCBF.com    See CQJC.com

Futube.com  Godaddy values this one at $5800

UrbanSoil.com   Sounds like a clothing company

FashionLeaks.com   See new designs before they come out

TheCryptoMan.com   Not A crypto man………….THE

DateCity.com  A bit cheesy to me but bidders like it

Godaddy Names With One or NO Bids

MaxPharm.com  No bids.  Not a bad Biotech name for $12

Floday.com  I like it as a brand.  I’m a little more hesitant on “flowday”

JustPlainFun.com  Marketing name all the way.  And it better be fun

Vayek.com  5L with no bidders

GreenCycling.com  Cycling is green but I figured this could be used as a brand.  Probably would be GreenCycles though

NamesNeeded.com  Might be a good name for our industry but you will get sent the shittiest names you’ve ever seen and they’ll be priced at $1000 and above

QuickScrew.com Generic for Tinder

WhoTheFuckDoYouThinkYouAre.com  Registered for 17 years

LargeStar.com  Simple, two word brand

TheHandgun.com  Probably not going to work as a brand anymore but its very memorable. Buy at the low
