Our bodies have an incredible ability to protect. Work too much, you get a sense of tired which makes you want to sleep. Walk or run too much, lactic acid build up in the legs. Body can’t get what it needs oxygen wise, you pass out. Part of doing anything to force the body to get better is teaching it that you will be ok. That what you are doing is taxing the body but not hurting it.
You get a little uncomfortable, teach your brain to let you go a little longer without fighting back, and then ease off. Each time pushing it a little more. It allows you to go further. The barriers that people usually face aren’t physical, they’re mental. There is a great book by Alex Hutchinson called Endure that goes over experiments and data about how the body protects itself and how you can overcome your mental barriers. It’s not just for running but for life.
Add to the mental training tech like Whoop. A great bracelet that gives you all kinds of data about your body that helps you learn how to recover, how to train, and how to sleep. Getting better is a combination of hard work and science. I admit I’m a bit of a data junkie but I have to have some form of measurement above how I feel that day and how much I got done. I want to know details. My watches, bracelets, and charts give me all that. As I age I can’t compare myself to others. I do look at others my age but most of them have given up physically. They put the effort that used to be put towards achieving and now put it into building a bag full of excuses why they can’t. There are still plenty of people killing it after 50. I watch guys over 50 killing it at work, at the gym, and on the roads. But they are the top 1%. The poster guys for the new 50. They all have the same characteristics. Fit looking, put in the hours into everything they want to do, get up early to make the most of the day. No secrets, all the same. They’ve figured out how to jump the barrier to whatever seems to be stopping everyone else.
So where am I going with all this? I have no idea. Just pumped I had a good day and loving life after 50.
Quote of the Day: “Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you’re a good person is like expecting a bull not to attack you because you’re a vegetarian.” Dennis Wholey
Domain of the Day: Grape.net It’s a dot net but a STRONG dot net
Namejet, Sedo, Snap, and other Names Up for Auction
The last day of the Sedo Great Domain auction. Will be interesting to see what bids come in strong at the end. These are the names I think have a chance to sell.
EFM.com One of my favorites in the auction. Like the letters. If the reserve is 30 or under I think it sells
PCE.com The favorite among bidders. Already at the low end of the reserve. I think it could go to $70K which should be close to reserve. Key word is should
WCSB.com Reserve is under $500 so its an easy target.
NUR.com Trying to figure out if this is a pronounceable. I have it rhyming with Sure
VNY.com and VQF.com Pretty much no reserve so they are 100% going to sell. Going to find out what the low end of a LLL.com cost in today’s market
FitFashion.com Aka Banana Republic. All fit people know they are one of the few stores you can buy clothes off the rack that are a perfect fit for some one in shape
Biscotti.com Met reserve. Good hard bread (or it is a cookie, actually maybe its a biscuit ) or just a good brand
And whoever allowed all the “years old” names in the auction should be taken off the panel that chooses
Polluted.net A big problem all over the world. A big movement towards crowd cleanups. A few hundred dollars short of reserve on this one
BuyerTips.com I find it a little boring but people love tips and reviews
LikeSex.com Met reserve but then again who doesn’t
LimitedReserve.com Such a good name for so many things. Makes me think of whisky though
BluntReview.com Sounds like a pretty fun site to write for
PrimeFusion.com Upgrade name for a few companies
CutTax.com A Republican mantra but in reality what everyone wants
LotsOfFish.com This shows up as an Expiry at Snap but looks like a functional website

CoffeeForMom.com Links and history have this one as one of the top names on the board today
DogMasters.com pretty sure this will be a dog training school name
Collegy.com aka Collegish
Trooly.com A gonna get typed in wrong form of “Truly” but I like it
QCAT.com Its got cat in it. That’s enough
PowerfulHosting.com Powerful is good. Hosting is one of the few things you don’t want to go down on you
TryUsOut.com great marketing name. And yes, I typed in GiveUsATry.com to see who owned it too
x-change.com Doing pretty well for a domain with a dash
Availabilities.com Really hoping it was availability.com but this is a stretched out, cheaper form of it
Homevue.com Tons of upgrade customers for this one. I think it goes for $2K or more
AmazingData.com Good name on its own but there are some backlinks to add to the kitty
OriginalThinking.com What every employer is looking for
BabyRing.com Its a thing but its like earrings on a baby. An accident waiting to happen

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
