I talked to Ron Wells this past weekend. If you remember Ron was in the hospital for over 3 months with COVID. I was so happy to hear his voice. There was a time I thought Ron wasn’t going to survive. Any time you are in an induced coma for months its not a good thing. Ron is a gentle giant. Willing to help you in any way, I felt so helpless that I couldn’t help him. When I saw his name on my phone I had the biggest smile you’ve ever seen.
One thing he said that I don’t think he would mind I share is that he remembers absolutely nothing for TWO MONTHS. He has no memories of two months of his life while he was in a coma. But he remembers all his dreams as clear as if they really happened. They go from beautiful to horrific. It’s as if he had an idea what was going on but the drugs turned those into crazy scenes. Some of his dreams he was telling himself what he needed to do or he would die. He had a dream of bright lights and people saying “You have to breathe or you will die of COVID”. They ever told him that but his mind must have known that is what was happening.
I thank God that Ron got to go home to his young family. The financial help that the domain community gave him is what got his family through some tough times. It’s events like this that remind you of so many things. One, don’t take anything for granted. Things can change quickly. Two, make sure your spouse knows where all your assets are and how to utilize them. Make sure they have the name and number of someone to call to advise them on what’s the best thing to do with your domains. Three, have a financial buffer. Your goal should be to have cash or liquid assets for one year worth of payments. I know that’s easier said than done but its something to think about if you want to quit your job to pursue your dream. You might have a little nest in case things don’t go as well as you hoped.
So Welcome Back Ron. It’s great to have the gentle giant back among us. I can’t wait to give you a big hug when I see you again.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
You are spot on with your recommendations for life & assets. Welcome back Ron Wells!
