I don’t know what they hell is going on with Godaddy’s code. Instead of getting better its getting worse. I can’t even use Safari any more. It won’t let me log in. It won’t let me sign in to auctions. I now HAVE to use Chrome. I wish I could prove it but I guaranteed its cost us THOUSANDS of dollars in lost commissions through lost cookies. Our commissions were down $10K plus last year yet clicks were the same. Its no coincidence that our commissions started going down once they started having troubles with their site.
I’ve said it a million times. I love Godaddy. I love the people there even more. But if was CEO I would stop buying new companies and fix my shit. Its embarrassing and they are better than the product they are putting out for us to use. After my tweets they contacted me to see if I could help them. ‘Let’s FaceTime and talk” someone emailed me. But they don’t need me to know what’s going on and they need to pay me. I made an offer last year to marketing that for $500 a month they could advertise on our site and I also would send over bugs I encountered. I was told the budget wasn’t there. Maybe not in those words but that was the gist. Yes we get paid to list domains but we earn the money through work. If they want us to make their site better then we need to be part of the paid team. My opinion only but my time is SUPER valuable and I am a customer. I just gave them $1000 for an expired domain that they received for free. They have the cash. They have to want to get better. At this point someone or something is standing in the way of that happening. Maybe not on financials but on the domain investors user experience.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Hi,
Do you charge a % in addition to the $10/per name per day? Also in your opinion..is there a better day of the week to sell my names than others?
Thanks,
-Paul
Hi Paul – just the $10 per name. There are other spots such as the scroll at the top available as well. Shane can give you additional details via email. He is pretty busy at the nursery these days so the best way to reach him right now is via the contact form on the contact us page – just choose Shane from the dropdown. Thanks!
Ahhh Godaddy site issues. I have been on them for over 10 years about it. And, yes, it seems it is getting worse. I have sent lists of bugs many times to my rep – nothing ever done. But Shane, I can not believe they wont give you a few hundred bucks to advertise. Jeez, you do so much for them and the industry. Unbelievable. Yeah, great people there, but WTF is going on with mgmt??
Thanks for the post. I thought my problems logging on to GoDaddy were unique. I lost access to GD login via Chrome over a year ago. Latest Windows 10 update now allows me to login with Chrome only after I clear my cache – and I have to do that each time now. I had been using Bing to login successfully. But after the Windows 10 update (and an updated Bing), now it’s hit or miss. Damn frustrating.
Ive bought names from your list and had same problem. Id have to use incognito mode in chrome just to login to godaddy. You are def losing a lot of comissions.
