I’m finally back from traveling. Some are more happy to see it than others. Travis and Ike have their own way of picking names and are generally better at finding names than I am. In the ideal world we would all three put our picks up but the reality of work and family makes it pretty much impossible for all of us to do it at the same time
I took my daughter back to school for her Sophomore year. Once again I realize the world of a division 1 athlete is completely different than my college experience. For me it was financial struggle, bad grades that eventually turned into good grades, everything important but school. She doesn’t have any of that. Athletes trade the free education for giving up their free time. They pretty much go to classes and train. Long distance runners especially, since they have 3 seasons. Cross Country, Indoor track, outdoor track. They get 4 weeks off a year from training. In return they get to travel, get money for food, free shoes and clothes, laundry done for them, tutors, doctors, and psychiatrist. I think its a great tradeoff but of course I’m biased because I was the fallback for the financial part of the journey.
Each time I drop her off it gets a little easier and hurts a little less. By the end of this summer I was ready for her to leave. I love having her around but our house is way too boring. After being around 16 girls all day, tons of stuff going on at school,to coming home to boring old Urbana, she was ready to go back as well. I don’t mean to bore you with personal stuff but I feel this is something most of go through. Having kids, setting them free. Balancing work, life and domain investing. I share my views of it. Thanks for listening 🙂

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
