There is nothing stronger than hope. The only thing that could be stronger is anticipation. Anticipation can keep you excited for months. Think about that vacation that is coming up. When times get bad you say to yourself “At least I have this vacation coming up” I’ve always said that women have the ability to make men have incredible days. Imagine if your partner or spouse says “Be ready tonight, we’re going to have amazing sex when you get home” That guy’s day is going to be incredible. No matter what happens he is going to feel like its going to be a great day by the time its all over. Of course something will come up and and it won’t happen. But its a good tradeoff for making the day go so well.
If you could bottle that anticipation, that hope, we’d all be feeling good right now. It’s what we’re missing with everyone staying home. I’ve been able to live a normal life but so many haven’t been able to take vacations or have anything to look forward to. What made me think about this (other than all the sex) is we are getting a dog. It doesn’t come for 4 weeks but my wife and daughter have been in a great mood ever since they found out. The anticipation has them in a great mood. Looking forward to a puppy. The training, the walks. It’s as happy as I’ve seen them this year. And we don’t even have it yet. Hope, anticipation, and love. It doesn’t get any stronger than that.
