I keep all my emails. I mean all of them. I’ve archived all my emails from the last 20 years. I keep 7 years on my computer and the rest on a hard drive. Why? It’s like a time capsule. You want a diary of someone’s life? Got through their received and sent emails. I was looking through my emails from December 2012 and here were a few examples of some of the fun emails from that year
- An email from the domain JohnnyFootball.com emailed me to find out what I thought of the value now that Johnny Manziel was the next great football player and that was his nickname. We all know how that turned out
- I put a bid on Protrada for downcomforter.net. Remember Protrada? and what a shitty domain. And yes I got outbid on that name, thank goodness. And then I raised my bid and won for $32
- I got an email from sitemeter showing my site WallStreetFighter had gotten 12 million visits. I only had it up two years before I sold it. They used their own tracker but the old numbers came to me for 5 years before the site folded
- I made $551 in November 2012 from essociates affiliate program for this blog. Not a bad month and one I haven’t seem from them since
- I got an inquiry for Puddles.com. I got a ton of inquiries for that one. Sold it but can’t remember what I sold it for. Pretty sure its in emails if I look. Found it. $4k
- Bought FloridaHomeLoans.com for $1500 at Namejet. Flipped it later for $5K
- My auction on Flippa for SantaClaus.cc ended with no bids. I still own it
- I sold Hooku.com for $5500 on Afternic
- Got an email from Toby Clements BGT.com was at $25K
- Someone sent me an email with a joke. What do you call 100 lesbians with guns Militia Etheridge.
- And finally an email from my Dad. He almost died this year and so glad he’s with me because it would have been tough to read. Thankful every day

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Quick fyi: the links to washingtonweed.com & emergency.org go to misspelled domains.
Emergency.org is actually a misspell…’ Energency’
