DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, March 27th, 2015

Escrow.com

Yesterday I was in an auction that had the most annoying seller I have ever experienced.  To the point that I actually would have paid more money but stopped bidding because it was so annoying. The auction was Wincoin.com on Flippa.  It went for $1700 and I liked the name but the seller tweeted every single hour “Five more hours”  “Two more hours” and then made little comments every 15 minutes. He knew that every bidder and watcher received the comments and we were all being spammed every time he commented.  He also tagged me in all his tweets meaning I had 9 notifications about the auction.  He’s happy with his price but I pray that others don’t follow his style.  Here are today’s names

BestPlans.com  People are always looking for floor plans and house plans online.  Used to be in magazine form at the checkout at the hardware store.  Should do well.

MOOC.tv  Stands for Massive Open Online Course.  Huge trend in education and perfect name for .tv  Bidding at $830

GPSTrackingDevices.com  We use these in our delivery trucks.  Many companies use them in their fleets. Has a good bid

Keggers.com   Party name. The singular sold for $4,500 in 2011.

Bracketville.com  Great name for NCAA brackets.  18 years old .  At $75 but think FanDuel for NCAA tournament

LSND.com   12 years old.  20 bidders

UYGG.com  No love for GG.

KLYE.com   I see Kyle, but there are a few others named Klye.

J8B.com  These C8C.com domains have been doing very very well.  Even crossing $500 some times

InTheShed.com  So that’s where I left it.  One bidder  11 years old

CO7.com  Over under $750

MFYX.com  Think of what you feel this will sell for and then look at the current price.  Were you right?  I didn’t think so

36309.com  $400 name if you go by current pricing

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration. gofdsp401c

Motto.io and 20 Other dot IO Names.   A bulk portfolio of solid names.  Get a bulk deal and sell them off individually.  Only at $5

StockValuation.com and StockMarket.club   Get the 2 for 1 deal here.  Both are good names but some may argue the dot club name is the better half of the pair

CassetteConverter.com For those of you who have old cassette tapes at home.

Virtualizing.com  Virtual Reality has turned this into a valauble name.  People are going to be turning places and areas into virtual worlds, aka virtualizing them

CheapAutoQuotes.com  Auto insurance names don’t rake it in like they used to but the comps listed in the auction show that they still fetch a nice price.  At $1

EmbroideryFrame.com   Two word product .com.

Prototypes.io  Nobody seems to want this one.  At $1. I feel comfortable saying that this is worth at least $1

PUHA.com  15 year old CVCV.com    Not many of these go for under $2500 and don’t expect this one to be any different

Surfboard.net   The best surfboard name on the net.  The dot com is developed and gone forever.  And it’s not selling surfboards.  At $65

Bookbag.org  My name.  Every kid on the planet has one.  Low reserve At $1.  Worth more than $1

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

BMOH.com  19 years old.  Big Man On Holiday

VAOY.com Virtual Assistant Online Yo

HIRA.com  This one is going to do well.   One of the better CVCV I’ve seen lately.  Not so great I’ll have dreams about it but I’ll probably think about it when I’m driving

LAA.net    Just don’t put any LA Angels ads on there.  Solid LLL.net

GuaranteedAutoLoans.com  I know these aren’t as valuable as they used to be but no bidders?

DHFO.com  Nice letters.  That’s all I got

  1. Just yesterday I received an email from Flippa that LAA.com, was relisted. And now LAA.net is on Pre- Release. Both solid domain names.

  2. That same seller cost me thousands of dollars in another auction, and tried to extort me into buying some worthless .infos from him in exchange for him to stop bidding. There are other things, too, but it’s not worth going into. I’ve only been dealing with him for about a month, but I can comfortably say he’s a piece of sh*t.

Usually I wouldn’t try to dump my dirt out publicly, but I think it’s important to note that it’s not an isolate incident with this person and he’s best to be avoided.

On a separate note, I “won” the original motto.io auction (but didn’t hit reserve) and it is definitely NOT for the lot. I would’ve bid up to the reserve it was, but the seller informed me after my bid that it was only for motto.io and I could feel free to make a private offer for any of the other domains. I said that the post was super confusing and he said it’s actually “easier this way.” Right.

    1. Hey Bobby,

per Motto, sorry about all the confusion. Sent you a message via Flippa as soon as I had seen the comment on here, and cleaned up the listing a bit. If I had gotten questions from multiple users, I would have changed it in an instant. I’m not a huge asshole here lol.

Anyways, sent you a message via Flippa and waiting on a response. If you could respond, so I know you have received it, that would be awesome. Thanks.

And it looks like there’s multiple “travis’s” on here now Shane, so I’m using my last name from now on lol 😉
