DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, Feb 12th, 2015

Escrow.com

Last week I did a post having a little fun with the comment section of DomainInvesting.coms weekly broker listings.  One name sold off the list and it was the name that I said was the most accurate in pricing IMO.  The rest were ridiculous.  Take a look at this week.  At the time I’m writing, all the names were MUCH lower in price.  One was even $5.  I’m not sure if people took my post to heart or pure chance.  I’m guessing a little of both.   Here are today’s names

Commercial.net  Big name.  Ad or real estate.  This name is as good of a dot net as Godaddy has had in a while. 20 years old

Trasa.com   57 million google results. 18 years old.  Means something in some language.  I probably should do more homework but I have a whole list to go through

HSTI.com   You know the old saying  “An I at the right means your financial future is bright”  17 years old

Squiffy.com  I was hoping to pick it up for $12 as a brand but there is already a bid.  Still worth another bid or two

PU4.com  Normally these average $750 but the four may knock it down a bit

85E.com  This one is already at $1500 so obviously people like the numbers and letters a little more

DU9.com   This one is in the middle of the two above in regards of value.

ZuiPai.com $1600 and I have not a clue why.  And yet I still haven’t completely taken it out of my might buy category

368111.com 368222.com  Which one do you think will sell for more?

Decide.info  Is pretty close to liquid value IMO but may have a little room to run

SIGN UP FOR OUR NEW NEWSLETTER (top right of the page) for this list delivered the night before with some fun and games added

Heated.com  Doing well.  Closing today today.  Great Heating and AC company name

Appraise.it   For the right price it works for me

MostPopularGame.com    People are always looking for advice on what games to buy.  Perfect name to tell them.  Getting some late action

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration.  gofdsp401c

NewLogic.com  Nice brand for a domain or a company.  20 years old

Jaboo.com  No bidders.  A nice 5L.com  brand.  Not to be confused with Naboo, home of Jar Jar Binks

Referees.com  Every soccer, football, and hockey game has one

IWantToGrow.com   You can grow as a business or grow pot. Both would work well here. No bidders

QEL.com  The Chinese love Q and X and it may actually be pronounceable.  Who am i kidding?  It’s an LLL.com.  You should want to own them

HomemadeBeer.com  Lots of people home brewing.  Maybe one will be drunk enough to give you six figures

ClearSailing.com Deserves more than 15 bids.  Love it as a brand

15U.com Judging from the GD auctions above we know this should be worth at least $1K

90498.com  Best 5L.com on the board today

  1. Nerd comment warning! ” I’m not sure if people took my post to heart or pure chance.” – ” With great power, comes great responsibility” 🙂
I am sure your readers trust you with their hearts and mind.

  2. Well, squiffy.com went for a shade more the $12. Think it ended up going for around $400 ($800 estibot appraisal).

Were you the lucky winner Shane?

I bailed out around the $200 mark, what’s with all those last second bids on GoDaddy? Don’t people know that you can’t snipe a domain, it just gets extended for another 5 minutes?

Thanks for the tips everyday you often catch one or two I’ve overlooked, especially on GoDaddy…although sometime I do wish you wouldn’t draw too much attention to domains that I hoped others may miss! 😉 😉
