We all saw the sale of Tulip.com yesterday for $37K. And like most, I thought, actually I knew, that the seller left a lot of money on the table. Pretty sure the new buyer could flip the name for $10K profit in one day if not more. Ali, the broker knew the seller was being hasty but he has to do what the seller says and he said sell it. As a guy that actually sells tulips I will certainly be adding that one to my “one that got away” list. But I’ve been doing this long enough to know that there will be another name around the corner. Here are today’s names.
Here are today’s names
NJR.net A lot of companies and things use this as an acronym. 18 years old.
IdealConditions.com No bidders 17 years old. Some people won’t do anything unless its ideal conditions. Here it is
CDL.net 17 years old. All good letters and at 5% of the dot com it has room to run
VVXV.com That’s a lot of Vs for under $100
FORH.com 13 years old and a free 30 visits per month with the purchase
MerchantShare.com Sounds like an affiliate program. Not worth a ton but worth a gamble under $100 IMO
SweetJane.com Great brand with only 1 bidder
ExpenseTracking.com Hard to believe this only has one bidder. I had to double check to make sure it was spelled correctly
FINZ.com Already over $1500. Told you Z was cool
SimpleMarket.com I love this one. Not huge value but one I’d like in my portfolio. And I will unless you outbid me
MZXZ.com These X and Z LLLL.coms are doing very very well of late
STL.org Cardinals baby!! But unfortunately I’m a Cubs fan
TechWatches.com Apple already said they plan on selling more watches in their first week than all the other smart watch companies combined all year. This one is at $1
BusinessCloudStorage.com Your buying keywords for SEO here. CPC of $44 Bid at $1
TouristForums.com 28 bids and has met reserve. 10 years old and a Cajillion dollar industry
Piracy.info 33 bids and met reserve. $10 CPC
AlcoholIntoxication.com Yet another domain that’s met reserve. 15 bid and a $9.52 CPC
FindGrass.com Only a year old. Auction is at $25 which isn’t good enough for buyer yet
DessertRecipes.com Recipe names fetch big boy prices. This one hasn’t met reserve at least once. We’ll see if it does here
A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Dot Com Registration. gofdsp401c
MIB.net 18 years old. All I see is Men In Black
FOJ.com It doesn’t really matter what the letters are, you should want to own ALL LLL.coms
VeganLiving.com Taste this. You can hardly tell it isn’t made with real food
FARU.com CVCV.com that expect to sell for over $6K
UAA.net Pretty good letters and you save 95% for adding the dot net. Downside is that someone is dumping a lot of good LLL.nets
TheWard.com Doesn’t have to be psychological
Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help. For a small fee we can put your name in the list. Keep in mind, if I don’t think the name has a chance of selling I will not list the name, fee or not.
*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct
DesertRecipes.com link doesn’t resolve
Unless, Tulips are one of your highest profit margin products I wouldn’t lose sleep over it …
Fixed. Desert recipes would be a little dry
Finz.com Dolphins baby!
Maybe it’s obvious, but CDL.net is also a “keyword” of sorts for anyone in the trucking industry for commercial drivers license. Wish I had more cash because I would grab this one!
DR,
I completely missed that. I’m moving my bid higher
When I see stl I think of the 3D printer file type and not a place. 🙂
Did you end up winning SimpleMarket? I was hoping to get it for a couple hundred until I saw it show up here 🙂
Michael,
No. My bid was $350 and it went for more than that. I’d have to double check but I think it was $405 or something like that
Thanks. The last time I saw it, it was at $351. I was wondering how high it got…
