DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday, April 22nd

Monetization.  It’s the hardest part of running a business.  Ideas are everywhere.  Some ideas get put into action and become real.  But monetizing them is rare.  There is a select kind of people that have the ability to come up with a way make ideas profitable.   I’ve found that most people only have the ability to try and improve concepts that are already in play.   Myself, I tend to take an idea and see if I can market it better.  There is nothing new about growing plants or selling mulch, but I’ve figured out ways to get them to buy more.  Sometimes its simple.  Merely making the product the best and biggest plant for the lowest cost.  And then letting everyone who will listen know that if they buy it somewhere else they’ve wasted their money.   I also went from selling $10K in mulch to $600,000 in mulch by renaming it and then putting it down for free at some of the busiest corners in town.  We then talked about it in our marketing.  It snowballed from there with a few more marketing campaigns.  (I could write a whole article about it). When it comes to domains, I’ve carved a niche on how I make money.  Some is obvious, some is not.  But it works for me.  I have a few more ideas on how to make money that I will never talk about because there really are only so many ways to make money writing a blog in this industry.  We’ll be announcing a few new projects in the near future when I’m not so busy reaping the rewards of my other monetization effort….the nursery.   Here are today’s names. Click to see current prices

MailMarketing.com  20 years. One of the oldest form of direct marketing.  And still one the most commonly used.

J21.com  One of the few types of short domain that have held price and may even gone up a little

LVVZ.com   The two Vs are holding up well.  Looks like its going to hit $300

VWBT.com  I like the V on the left.  It lets the good letters do the work on the right while it watches.

OD7.com   The vowels not as much but still have good value

NewMovers.com    Used to describe a person that’s recently moved into town.  I imagine the person that owned mail marketing let this one expire as well

88Game.com  I thought this one would get a bid.  I was right

PHTT.com    $1250 at publication time.  T for Trust.  I don’t know what they other T is for

8RF.com   $2K opening bid and I think that’s not too far off value

Moshito.com   No bidders.  I just like it because its fun to say.

INeedYouNow.com  No bidders.    It’s nice to be needed

AutoTek.com   20 years old.  36 bids and may hit four figures. Upgrade name for quite a few companies

BNAU.com, AMRQ.com, and JKOF.com    All can be used as Western acronym.  All will be at the low end of the price model

189187.com   I am still buying great pattern CHiPs for cheap if anyone wants out.  Not CHiPs, not good patterns but great patterns.    And yes, I know the market is in a freefall.   I’ll be fine

13000.org  I admit it was easy to remember

DraftBench.com    Not a bad fantasy name for $12

Special Domain Shane ONLY Coupon…….. CODE IS DDCDS2015 Good 30% off Discount Domain Club to get the lowest renewal prices Godaddy offers (DDC)

8.pe    Single and double digit country codes are becoming gold.  This price proves it

NiceFrance.com    Price is still cheaper than a ticket to fly there.  Very nice travel name

FFG.com  Pretty special name.  And the price shows

Korean.TV   Surprised this one has no bids.  I would think there is a Western station that shows Korean programming that would want this

NameRemoval.com  Reputation repair name.  Still leaves a dirty Dicker taste in my mouth

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

Backordering.com  Obvious use.  My guess it will be bought by a company that offers it.

XSSY.com  A Chinese CHiP.  Not worth what it used to be but probably worth more than the $300 its currently at

Curt.biz   Would make a great email for Curt.  Pretty sure you could sell it to him for more than $69

MZ1.com  Nice LLN.com  Under $2K would surprise me.

YTYT.com  We’ll get a good comp for a ABAB.com

Cum.org   Typo of Come.com

NFT.com  Going to cost you $50K plus but its going to sell for $100K eventually

15235.com   Nice 5N.com up today.  Ending in 5 is second to 8 …..I think.  I’m already getting rusty now that the Chinese names aren’t coming up as much

BitUse.com  I like it as a bitcoin payment name.   No bidders

Assuredly.com  I struggle with these one off dictionary names but they do sell and 12 bidders assure that it will

Pamela.org   Another good email.  I may buy this for my Mom

Sincerely.org  I think the word goes with dot org.  Only 11 other people agree

BumperStickers.net    People still put these on by the hundreds of millions.  Sell a few percentage of those on your online store

CYMB.com   84 bidders.  You know this is more than a Chinese name because a lot of the 84 backorders are carryovers from this time last year when CHiPs weren’t even a thing yet

CBMH.com  One of the better LLLL.com on the board today.  H for Holding or harpoon

THML.com   Nice one as well.  L for limited……or lobotomy

EducationScholarships.com  Because your kids jumpshot sucks

MortgageUK.com  Pretty sure they have to borrow money for their homes in the UK as well

SBRD.com, FRRH.com, FCRP.com, and NREB.com   Some fantastic LLLL.coms up today and if you want to get them at a discount use the code  CRAZYJOE

Stupidify.com   I feel that I’ve been stupidified on most of the sites I go to each day.  But they are so entertaining.  18 bidders

SSGH.com  SS is good in a LLLL.com bad in WWII

  1. I know nothing about the nursery business or your specific business, but have you ever considered buying other nurseries in other cities or opening new ones from scratch, and applying all your great business methods (like the mulch idea) to them?
