I was on a plane today for 10 hours and I must say that American Airlines really has gone downhill. It’s nice that airlines are making money. I want them to make money. A business that doesn’t make money won’t survive and we need competition to keep pricing fair. But boy is American Airlines a no frill airline now. Its been a while and I’m going to try and make it a while before I use them again. 10 hours of flights and I got 3 drinks, a pack of cookies and a stale bag of pretzels the entire time. There was food to buy but it was junk food. Fortunately I brought a few things and we had a layover to eat, otherwise I would have been in big trouble. I guess it keeps you from having to get up and use the bathroom since there is nothing in your stomach. And the entertainment? No wifi, one screen in the middle aisle (that I couldn’t see from the window seat), and since there was no wifi, no app that let you watch tv or some movie. One B movie, a few tv shows and the rest of the time you have to entertain yourself. I anticipated it so I brought good old work to get done. But I couldn’t get this list done so I’m doing it at 2 am in the morning so it may be a tad shorter than normal. I will be hiking in the jungle for a few days so I may be out of phone and email range for a day or two. Of course the lists will keep coming via the handsome Ike. Here are today’s names.
