We’re going to be closing submissions for our first auction on Friday. We have over 400 submissions and there are a few nice ones in there. There are also a ton of names that have very high reserves with very average quality. It was expected as most people really don’t have any clue of the value of their domain. We all see the sales prices coming out and think that our names are better or at least equal and they too should sell for those prices. When in reality most names on the Sedo and DnJournal list are names that an particular person really wanted. Your chance of finding that one person is low. Of course there are names that multiple people and companies would love to have. Those are the names with real value. Figuring out which category a domain falls into is the skill that separates those that will make money and those that won’t.
