I’m a lot like many domain investors where I think of a word, type in the dot com and see what’s on the domain. If its a big company I move on. If its a small company or home business then I make them an offer and tell them I will help them move the site over to new domain if they are interested in taking the cash. I usually don’t hear back but every once in a while I do and and of those, about 5% take my offer after some negotiations. I have one that I think I may close soon and like many domains I buy, I pay a little more than most people but the names have never been for sale and good one word dot coms are hard to find. And it takes months and sometimes years to get the name so a thousand here or there isn’t going to make a big difference (I hope) in the future. Here are today’s names. Click to see latest price

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
“If its a big company I move on”
Interesting. I had assumed you guys, domainers, dealt with mostly large companies who had accumulated domains through business acquisitions and had no further use for the domains.
Anthony,
I should have worded it better. I don’t make an effort when the name is actively being used for a product or large company. It will be way too costly to have them change domains. I certainly try and by unused assets from any size company
