I biked 17.2 miles two days ago, didn’t get a chance yesterday as I came into work a few hours early. I’m going to try and get out today at some point, it’s a little easier now that school’s started.
Anyone ever have a hood release not work? I had to run a backup E300D the other day because the drive axle bolts broke off on that piece of crap VW TDI. I was making a left turn from a stop and bang. Thank you Hagerstown VW Dealer for not putting the bolts in right after you replaced the turbo that you replaced, after fing up the Oil pump replacement. lol
So with the E300 I couldn’t get the hood to unlatch. I had adjusted it, but apparently I disconnected the passenger side lock from the cable. I looked for a way to get to the latch, anything short of using the jaws of life on the hood. Apparently there is no easy way. I removed the wheel, the bumper cover and random other parts that I could get off, all to no avail. I ended up creating just enough room to get a sawzaw blade under the hood just above the headlight and cut the latch off. Well it’s open now. 341,000 miles and climbing
