Recently we had to put our German Shepherd “Chief” down, he couldn’t get around anymore. While it was a hard decision to make and sad, it was the best thing for him.
Chief, just doesn’t give a crap, lol.
Instead of getting another dog right away, I’ve decided to train a kitten to act like a dog. Here’s some of our progress.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
I had to make the same decision about 10 years back. Still hurts but i know i made the right decision. Never had the courage to get another one as that was in itself too painful. Chief is in a better place 🙂
That is one of the hardest things to do.
After my dog died of 14 years old i didn’t want another one, but after 7 years i did.
I have 2 cats now and they are wonderful.
Like you after having a dog, i trained my cats and the only way i knew, was like a dog.
Cats a very smart so it didn’t take long.
Funny how some of the kids in the neighborhood call my one cat..a dog cat..
Good luck with your new friend.
Josh E,
I do feel really sorry for your lost.
Extremely hard experience to go through.
Chief will remain bringing you joy every time you remember him and Chief, will be wagging his tell knowing you are happy.
