I watched the latest Sherpa review today while doing the list. I think I like shut.com more than Ammar and Shane. I really don’t think it’s negative and I can think of hundreds of things that I shut everyday. I shut the door, shut down my computer, it makes me think of “an open and shut case”, with shut being the important part of the phrase, it’s done, put away.
It’s super easy to spell, easy to say, 4 letters, one syllable, I think Drew got a great deal on the name.
My first thought has a small amount of envy. Imagine being so well networked and known in the industry that people bring you great deals and lay them at your feet. My second thought is relief. For every great deal like this presented to Drew, I bet there’s an exponential amount of shit he has to wade through everyday. People sending their horrible names hoping he’ll buy or broker them. Seriously I bet there’s hundreds of emails a day with crappy domains.
lol I can just imagine him sitting in his office, swearing at the computer, wishing the sender of the shitty domains a slow death by stoning, crucifixion or some other first century death sentence that I don’t even know about.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
lmao that picture is just scary Josh
I forgot how nice my body was last summer. Thanks for the memories Josh
And Josh. I do like Shut but its all relative to price paid. And Drew got it at a great price so now I love it 🙂
Yeah, just meant I think i like it more.

Super hot buddy, keep up the strong work.
As long as the domain is good enough to sell (which 99% aren’t unfortunately .. lol), then purchase price is everything! While Shut is bottom rung for a 4L real word … it’s still a 4L REAL WORD .. lol .. which I’d probably take before a random 3L depending on the specific letters (if either were within my acquisition budget .. lol)
.
It’s also important to note that because of his mailing list, contacts, web traffic, inbound requests, and rolodex (which he grew with 10 years of hard work), these types of domains actually have more value to drew since he’s in a better position to sell them quicker and even possibly for more optimal prices.
.
and yeah .. that picture is just disturbing for my brain!
I don’t think it’s “bottom rung” that’s my whole point, In my mind it’s better than how it’s coming across. Even within the realm of 4 letter words
Yeah I get what you mean .. but I simply don’t see I see the same thing as you .. obviously as a 4L dictionary word it’s better than just about every other domain out there .. but within that 4L dictionary category I just find it’s a little awkward as a stand along. I’d actually give ShutUp more value. There are just some words that aren’t home runs phonetically on their own for some intangible reason ..
.
I’m really trying to understand the science behind domains particularly when it comes to 5L made up brandables. There are some syllabic combinations that are vastly stronger than others .. and other combinations that result in just awkwardness.
What can I say? He’s just photogenic.
