I sold a name at Uniregistry Market today that was registered at Godaddy. I entered the auth code and unlocked the name, but never received the FOA email, that’s the email send from the gaining registrar to the whois contact so that they can approve the transfer.
As I’m waiting for the email to arrive, Godaddy sent me an email telling me that I had a pending transfer. I went into the dashboard and approved the transfer. It went through and the transaction completed at Uniregistry.
But At this point I’m thinking WTF just happened. I never approved anything like I normally would with the FOA email. I contacted DropCatch support, continuing our conversation about the names I talked about last post, the ones that were sold at auction but that I really wasn’t sure where they were or what was happening. DropCatch replied and advised the the FAO’s will now be optional or simply informational.
So it seems like in the attempt to keep information private it’s now easier to steal domains.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
Hey Josh, hows your crypto experiment going so far?
Hey Tom, I’ll do an update soon. Sold a few, less than 5 months in, I think we’ve covered half the cost. I’ll change the prices soon to see if any move faster.
When I add my GoDaddy domains to the Uniregistry marketplace, it says I need to change the nameservers to the Uniregistry nameservers. Do you do that, or do you use your own landing pages?
Josh,
I think you got the camel case wrong on one. It’s FreedomsKill.com. You know, like being free to carry $10,001 in cash. That money is dangerous, and will kill you – that’s why the government takes it from you.
