Namejet has released it’s November sales report for names over $2000. As we all know their are always a lot of Asian names that have a lot of bids and tend to do well. Two of the top three names this month were in that category. I follow quite a bit of names and feel there may be a few names missing but it’s always nice to have auction houses share data. I’m jealous, and mad as hell, at the cabal between Registrars & these auction houses.
These should be domainer sales. They’ve effectively cut out domainers from the food chain.
And that is why, as a matter of principle, I will boycott all of them. It’s not fair.
You are living in the past Domenclature. . . I can tell you most of the buyers on NJ aren’t end-users so domainers are just losing a piece of the profit . . . or another way to look at it is that we’re sharing some of the MASSIVE margins.

That will be fine, if expiring names weren’t cornered by insiders, and then resold as retail. How can you compete with insider trading? They get to make special deals with Registrars, or as I suspect, these Registrars either own these auction houses, or have very deep ties, to basically corner expiring names that should be allowed to expire, and sell them anywhere from $69 to millions of dollars. That’s not a piece of profit, that’s the whole profit; in this case, it’s not money at issue, but the principle of capitalism itself.
