The screenshots below are examples of buyers of domains from the past year that have either developed their sites, or purchased an upgrade domain and have redirected their acquisition to an existing website.
CAMC.com sold for $15,000 at Sedo, and the domain was needed a part of a rebrand from “Caravan Club” to “Caravan and Motorhome Club”. The domain is still redirected to CaravanClub.co.uk, but I suspect that will be changing soon. “Formerly known as The Caravan Club, we’ve spent 110 years enjoying the great outdoors. We believe it’s where the road takes you that matters, so head out, unwind and enjoy your holiday to the fullest.”
Diolite.com sold for $3,880 at Sedo, and the domain was an upgrade from Diolite.es. They describe themselves as, “MANUFACTURER AND IMPORT COMPANY WITH THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN LED LIGHTING”.
Comacchio.com sold for $2,800 at Sedo, and this was a big, yet inexpensive, upgrade from Comacchio-Industries.it. The Italy based company is in the drilling business. “Since 1986, Comacchio has specialized in the design and manufacture of hydraulic drill rigs for a wide range of applications in the field of ground engineering, geotechnics, mining exploration, water well drilling and geothermal.”
Debble.com sold for $2,699 at Sedo, and the IT company is based in the Netherlands. “Double the impact on your intranet! With the Debble stack, you empower your users to do more in less time. Debble offers the best Office 365 and SharePoint intranets and ideation platform that is easily extendible: one size does not always fit all.”
X-direct.com sold for $2,500 at Sedo, and although the domain has a hyphen, it was still a big upgrade from a double hyphen: x-direct-group.com. The company provides services to real estate companies, and is based in Germany, but has offices in China and the US.
OnlinePOS.com sold for $2,322 at NameJet, and this was yet another upgrade, from OnlinePOS.dk. The Denmark based company describes itself as, “OnlinePOS box systems for both hospitality and retail developed in collaboration with stakeholders from the industry, which has resulted in a system that is tailored to your needs. Flexibility a key word in OnlinePOS, which is the main reason why our POS system is web-based. This makes customizing products and prices, personnel administration / gift card, pull reports and statistics, etc. extremely easy.“
